In my reading of the entire Bible in 98 days three verses stood out to me above the rest. The one I want to talk about tonight is 2 Corinthians 12:10.
The line take pleasure in infirmities really stood out. But, with my recent struggles with my eyesight I found this verse completely on the nose. I think if I wasn’t for losing my eyesight I would be on a completely different path. As a Truck driver I worked 60-70 hours a week, I tried to be home as much as I could, but life on the road is expensive. Since I started losing my eyesight, I have lost 100 pounds I feel way healthier, we sold our old house, bought one that is paid off and, paid off all our credit cards. I think going blind might be the best guiding force I have ever had.
Life isn’t perfect, I’d rather work outside and during the day. Honestly, I can barely read the words I’m typing right now, and my wife kind of hates our house and is ready to move again.
Overall,
life is good, the best thing I can say is I am living happily in the present, whatever tomorrow brings rain or shine, I will take pleasure in either.
