Pleasure in infirmities

In my reading of the entire Bible in 98 days three verses stood out to me above the rest. The one I want to talk about tonight is 2 Corinthians 12:10. The line take pleasure in infirmities really stood out. But, with my recent struggles with my eyesight I found this verse completely on the nose. I think if I wasn’t for losing my eyesight I would be on a completely different path. As a Truck driver I worked 60-70 hours a week, I tried to be home as much as I could, but life on the road is expensive. Since I started losing my eyesight, I have lost 100 pounds I feel way healthier, we sold our old house, bought one that is paid off and, paid off all our credit cards. I think going blind might be the best guiding force I have ever had. Life isn’t perfect, I’d rather work outside and during the day. Honestly, I can barely read the words I’m typing right now, and my wife kind of hates our house and is ready to move again. Overall, life is good, the best thing I can say is I am living happily ...

Where am I?

Where am I? This week is weird, my normal sleep schedule is bed at 1:30 am up around 10:30. But, this week my wife has to commute over an hour each way. So, I've been having to wake up at 6:30 to take my kids to school every day. So, in the last 72 hours I've slept about 9 hours, and my work week is about to start. The Bible has so many verses about rest. Most of those are about anxiety and worry and that doesn't really help much. at this point I just want to be productive with my time.

Parable of the tract

The parable of the tract A fire ravaged a hillside and the community was destroyed. Those who were left needed to replant crops to survive, one special spot on a hill was fought over. The first farmer said lettuce grow corn, it will be ready in 6 months and all can eat. The second farmer said let us grow grass and raise cattle, to maximize profit. The third farmer said let us grow oranges so all the sailers will need to stop, and we will trade for everything we need.
